Guitarra Con Amor (2001)

Guitarra Con Amore Having the desire to bring his unique style of music to the public Rod recorded his first album Guitarra Con Amor. The melodies in this album are unique and original. They are a blending of Latin/Mediterranean and New Age guitar music.

Rod’s deep desire to start learning and playing guitar was encouraged by his mother during his teenage years. He dedicated this album in her memory.

Strings of Passion (2009)

Strings of Passion This Nuevo Flamenco guitarist, has a unique style of playing that combines the hot flavors of Latin, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern style music. His passionate style of playing will make you dance, melt your heart and take your imagination to far away exotic places. He believes that music without vocals, enables the mind to explore and feel the emotions we have bottled up within us. His use of percussion, and occasionally some violin, add that special touch that enhances and excites our passionate and emotional expressions.
This CD is a must have. Great for entertaining or just to listen to.

History of my Guitar

image My favorite Flamenco Guitar was made by the Maldonado Family (Pedro Maldonado and his sons Pedro Jr. and Luis) in 1993, in Malaga, Spain. This hand-made F1 cut-away model is a high-quality Flamenco guitar made from Spanish Cypress back/sides, German Spruce top, ebony fingerboard and Cedar neck. Pedro Maldonado founded the ”Maldonado Guitars” in 1959 in Loja Spain. Five years later, he settled in Malaga Where he has developed the Flamenco and Classical guitars which gained him international recognitions by numerous world-class guitarists.
